Gift Caricatures
Prices must be determined on a individual basis. More of the figure than head and shoulders, and/or multiple figures; detailed backgrounds or situations; and overall complexity of the caricature will incur additional expense.
Caricatures may be created from existing single or multiple photographs. The better the image quality: good lighting; clear focus; large format; the better the art will be produced. Live sittings and photographs taken in the home or selected location may be arranged at an additional fee.
Fees
I charge $300 for a two hour event. For a huge savings, book your event for three hours or more, and your rate is reduced to $125 per hour (except on a holiday or the month of December).
Have easel - Will travel
locations beyond a 50 mile radius of Manchester will require a modest travel surcharge.
All caricatures are drawn with permanent marker. For the simple line drawings that are seen above on this page, it takes me about 5 minutes per person to complete a drawing. For a caricature with shading as seen on the left, it takes approximately 8 to 10 minutes per person. I prefer to do one style or the other, which I let the client determine, usually based on how many guests attend.
I use a high quality 11 x 14" paper with a pre-printed border suitable for framing. The finished caricature is presented in a protective plastic sleeve so that your guests can get it home without getting it soiled or wet.
